Whaler Camp, which is now in its thirty-third year, provides the opportunity for high school boys and girls to play and train together as a group for one week before the start of their fall seasons. Each team is coached by high school and club coaches from the South Coast. All campers receive a camp t-shirt
The camp is hosted by Mariner Youth Soccer and takes place on our 25 acre complex. Each evening will consist of a 20-minute dynamic warm-up, a 1 hour technical session followed by two 50-minute games against the other teams. We also offer goalkeeper training that will take place during the technical session. Coaches will focus on offering their knowledge thru different training sessions where players will later be allowed to freely experience what they learned in a game environment.
We have recently added a middle school camp that players in grades 6-8 can participate in.
Whaler Camp has been a staple for all local high school programs in the South Coast. Schools that have participated in over the years include: Tabor, Wareham, Old Rochester, Apponequet, Durfee, Fairhaven, New Bedford Voke, New Bedford High, Bishop Stang, Somerset Berkley, Joseph Case and Dighton Rehobeth.
