At Mariner Youth Soccer, we are fortunate to have a community of passionate and dedicated volunteers who make everything we do possible. From coaching and organizing games to maintaining our fields and supporting our programs, these individuals go above and beyond to ensure our kids have the best possible experience. To honor their incredible contributions, we are proud to present the Jeffrey Osuch Outstanding Service Award, a tribute to one of our most devoted volunteers and a cornerstone of our organization.  

Honoring a Legacy: Jeff Osuch
Jeff Osuch has been an integral part of Mariner Youth Soccer since 1986, and his impact is still felt today. Over the decades, Jeff has volunteered countless hours as a coach, board member, and driving force behind the development of our field complex. If you’ve ever been to our fields, chances are you’ve seen Jeff hard at work—lining the fields, painting the lines, or organizing parking on a busy Saturday morning. His unwavering commitment and tireless efforts have shaped Mariner into the organization it is today.  

To recognize Jeff’s decades of service and dedication, we renamed our highest volunteer honor the Jeffrey Osuch Outstanding Service Award. Jeff was also the first recipient of this award, a fitting tribute to his extraordinary contributions.  

Recognizing Our Volunteers
Mariner Youth Soccer thrives because of the incredible volunteers who dedicate their time, energy, and talents to support our programs. When parents arrive at the fields for practices or games, they may not realize the countless hours of behind-the-scenes work that make it all possible. From organizing seasons to maintaining facilities, it truly takes an army of volunteers to keep everything running smoothly.  

The Jeffrey Osuch Outstanding Service Award is our way of saying thank you to these remarkable individuals. Each year, we honor one volunteer who exemplifies the spirit of service and dedication that Jeff Osuch has shown throughout his years with Mariner.  

How the Award Works
Nominations for the Jeffrey Osuch Outstanding Service Award are submitted to the Mariner Youth Soccer Secretary. A committee of 3-5 board members reviews the nominations and selects the winner during a meeting in May. The award is presented to a volunteer who has gone above and beyond in their contributions to our organization.  

Nominations are due by May 1st, so if you know someone who has made a significant impact on Mariner Youth Soccer, we encourage you to nominate them for this prestigious award. [Click here to submit your nomination.]
