Mariner Fall Clinic ProgramUpdatedTuesday September 1, 2020 byRyan Feeney.
Hello Mariner Families,
We hope all of you are healthy and doing well during these trying times. Due to the state's COVID-19 Phase 3 restrictions on youth soccer and large group limitations, we have come up with an alternative plan for our fall program that meets the Phase 3 guidelines as well as the stricter Phase 2 requirements, in order to provider greater playing opportunities for our Mariner players.
As our traditional Fall Recreation Program will not be possible this Fall, we will instead be offering a soccer clinic program for players from Pre K to U14. We have partnered with Scorpions Soccer whose trained and licensed coaches will be running the Saturday clinics.
The Scorpions Soccer prides itself on developing quality skill, tactical sense, competitiveness and sportsmanship in every player. They promote playing with dignity and tenacity and emphasize mental toughness, determination, discipline and character.
Mariner Youth Soccer will follow the COVID-19 rules set out by the state of Massachusetts and Mass. Youth Soccer. Under the current Phase 3 guidelines, games are allowed to be played. As long as this remains in effect, the players will partake in 40 minutes of training followed by a 20 minute small sided game.
U8 and older age groups will be placed in a group with a max of 15 players per coach. Pre K and K aged students will work with a max of 10 players per coach.
