Age Groups for Fall 2016Updated Friday June 24, 2016 by Tina Rood.
We know there has been much discussion around the change in age groups that is happening across the soccer world. At Mariner we are following guidelines set by Massachusetts Youth Soccer for Town Leagues. Assignments to teams will be based on the child's grade at school.
On the registration form put in the grade your child is ENTERING in FALL 2016.
Here are the age groups for this fall:
Mariner Summer League is for high school aged females to be played throughout the summer season. Games will be on Monday and Thursday night throughout July. Game time is set 6:30pm.
FHS Summer camp is being held at Fairhaven High School from Tuesday August 7th to Friday August 10th. The camp runs from 4:00pm - 7:00pm.
To register, please click on the the Red Register Online banner. Create an account. Once you have created an account, you will need to select the 2018 FHS Summer Camp
The Camp is open to all players in Elementary and Middle School Grades. Come join us at the Fairhaven High School Football Fields for 12 hours of fun and learning. The emphasis will be on foot skills and small sided games. Controlling the ball on the individual player and small group level. One can not win if the team is not able to keep the ball. If one loses the ball, how do we get it back.
Water and Freeze pops will be provided along with a Camp T-Shirt. Bring your own cleats, shin guards, soccer ball and refillable water bottles. Goalies bring your gloves. Any questions can be directed to Coach Walter Baiardi at (508) 989-0350.
All proceeds from the Camp will be donated to the family of Andrew Eugenio, who is recovering from a traumatic brain injury. Growing up in the area, Andrew Eugenio played for many years with and against players from Fairhaven High School. With numerous friends on both the boys and girls High School team, these players would liked to help out his family during his recovery.
Mariner's Fall Rec program is up and running. We have made some changes going into this year.
1. Mariner Youth Soccer is adopting the US Soccer Age Matrix and our Recreation program will run by birth year.
2. Included in the Registration fee, will be 10 Raffle Tickets. Each family can either sell the tickets to recoup the $10 fee, or they can enter them for themselves.
3. All players will receive a free ticket to a New England Revolution Game on Saturday, October 13th. You will need to stop by our booth to receive the free ticket as well as purchase tickets for other family members and friends.
