Age Groups for Fall 2016Updated Friday June 24, 2016 by Tina Rood.
We know there has been much discussion around the change in age groups that is happening across the soccer world. At Mariner we are following guidelines set by Massachusetts Youth Soccer for Town Leagues. Assignments to teams will be based on the child's grade at school.
On the registration form put in the grade your child is ENTERING in FALL 2016.
Here are the age groups for this fall:
Mariner Youth Soccer is pleased to be offering our technical skills clinic with our professional coach from Challenger Sports. Coach Yesica will focus predominantly on foot skills and first touch, developing the ability to win the important 1v1 battles by teaching skillful, creative play. A players first touch can be the difference between being caught on the ball or beating your defender in those 1v1 or 2v1 situations. Coach Yesica will teach our players how to use space effectively and efficiently. The clinic will challenge the players ability to improve their touch in tight spaces on the field and develop their overall ball control.
This session will run on Friday nights. U8-U10 will go from 5:30 - 6:30 PM and and the U11 and up players will play from 6:30-7:30. The cost is $30 per player, and will run 6 weeks starting on Friday, April 20th and conclude on Friday, May 25th.
Mariner Summer League is for high school aged females to be played throughout the summer season. Games will be on Monday and Thursday night throughout July. Game time is set 6:30pm.
